What is NetRunners®
?
NetRunners® provides
South Florida's first rapid, on-site computer and networking support service
for home and office that is both reliable and affordable. Our
Microsoft-certified Site Engineers are well-trained, licensed and insured to
support your computing and networking needs. They arrive at your home or office
usually within a few hours of a service request and are fully prepared to
tackle tasks such as getting AOL to work or setting up a wireless ("Wi-Fi")
network in your home. Of course we can also connect your home-office with your
office across town or "up north" through a "Virtual Private Network" ("VPN") or
deploy and configure an industrial-grade client-server solution across multiple
sites.
Why was NetRunners®
founded?
It comes down to this: most people are very dependent on their car and most
everybody can mention the name of their dealer when they need service. Well,
most people have become even more dependent on their computer and their
internet connection. Yet most home and business users cannot tell you the name
of the person or company they go to for service and support! And today, there
are more computers than cars!
Our market research indicated that home and business users (especially small
businesses) had trouble finding qualified computer and networking support
services. And once they did find somebody (often a sole proprietor), users
never knew much about this person, let alone knew how qualified this person
was.
NetRunners® has changed all this: NetRunners®
is a highly recognizable "brand", with a rapidly spreading reputation as a
professional and reliable service organization, targeting home and (small-)
business users. It is a professional company, not a sole-proprietor, a
Certified Partner of Microsoft and other key IT companies. Of course,
NetRunners® is licensed and
insured.
Who founded NetRunners®?
NetRunners® was
founded by a team of IT professionals with many years of senior-level
experience in the IT industry in the US, Europe, Asia and Latin America. In
fact, the principals behindNetRunners® were instrumental in the development of
the global internet in the early- and mid-nineties when the internet was in its
infancy.
How long have you been in business?
NetRunners® was
formally incorporated in 2005, after several months of detailed planning,
market studies, and focus groups.
Where are you located?
NetRunners® corporate
offices are in Boca Raton, Florida. NetRunners® Site Engineers are stationed
throughout South Florida.
Are you licensed?
NetRunners® LLC is
licensed to conduct business by both the city of Boca Raton and Palm Beach
County, and registered with the Secretary of State of the State of Florida.
Should you care? Maybe. (if we weren't, we would be breaking the law).
Are you insured?
Yes we are. Should you care? Well, consider what could happen if someone who
services your computer or network system gets injured on your property. Ask any
service provider for their insurance certificate; if they are a legitimate
business, they should have one.
Are you certified?
NetRunners® has
been certified by Microsoft as a Partner, based on our expertise and
understanding of its products. This status gives us direct access to
Partner-only resources and training materials. In addition, our Site Engineers
can test-drive new Microsoft products in our test environment before we deploy
them in your environment.
Are You a Sole Operator?
No! And you should be careful when engaging a sole proprietor to support your
(business) IT infrastructure. What will happen to your business when your
"computer guy" decides to change career or move back "up north"? What do you do
if he can't get to you until next week?
If you use a sole operator now, can you get hold of him when you need to? Or
does it take days before he returns your calls? You really should (re-)consider
if you are being supported by a "sole operator" or by a professional IT support
organization with multiple certified Engineers.
